Philosophy: (taken from the school mission statement)
“Rooted in Christ, instructed by the teaching of the Catholic Church and inspired by the life of St Gregory the Great, the governors and staff are …dedicated to inspiring and forming young people who are…spiritually alert …and able to contribute effectively as Christians in the communities in which they live.”
In the light of our school mission statement, Chaplaincy in St Gregory the Great Catholic School is part of the central core of the school community and a presence from which the Gospel-inspired ethos of the school can grow.
Our distinctive character as a Catholic school is found in our striving to be a faith community that communicates a Catholic vision of life. The Chaplaincy works alongside the teaching and pastoral systems in the school to ensure that the strong are encouraged, the weak are supported and the indifferent are challenged, so that all may live ‘life to the full’ (John 10.10).
