In the midst of the summer break the waiting was over for our Year 12 and 13 students as they received their results. The number of students sitting A Levels in Year 13 was 51 and the percentage of A*and A grades at A Level was 10%, A* – B was 26% and A* – E was 93%.
Our former Head Boy Riley Agutter and Deputy Head Boy Max Oliver will be joining Oxford University in two of the most competitive subjects. Riley will take up his place at University College to study PPE and Max has a place to study Law at Wadham. We are immensely proud of their achievement. They follow our tradition of students from our sixth form representing us at Oxbridge.
For the individual students what matters is whether they’ve done well enough to get into the university or training course of their choice. This year’s results will mean almost all of our students will get their first choice places. We would like to congratulate all of our students, some of which have done exceptionally well.
Among the top performers celebrating were Libby Clark who achieved a B in Chemistry, an A in Mathematics and an A in Physics as well as an A in Further Mathematics at AS. Prashant Gurung did equally well with an A* in Mathematics, an A in Further Mathematics and an A Physics. Our current Head Boy Kacper Liskiewicz achieved an A* in Further Mathematics, an A in Polish, an A in Mathematics and an A in Physics.
Of course we are delighted with the results, but our real reason for celebration is the fact that almost all our students have secured the results they need for the next stage in their journey.
