St. Gregory the Great students were proud winners at the prestigious ‘Father Hudson’s Care’ “Breaking the Chains” writing award 2015.

Following a service led by Archbishop Bernard Longley at St Chad’s Cathedral in Birmingham the celebration saw 14 year old student Shahnoor Shujaa presented win the first prize award for writing, as well as 12 year old student Clinton Omoregie who was awarded runner up in the accompanying art award.

As well as taking home first prize there was an impressive presence of St. Gregory students at the event, both as supporters and participants. Other students entered into the competition included Aoife Conway Maher, Cassien Beedell, Carmen Powell, Alex Besevic, Leon Holifield, Paulina Kozak and Jeante Nero as well as an entry from 8 Indigo, with the work of all St. Gregory students on display at Grimshaw hall at St Chad’s Cathedral.
